2002 National Wheelchair Basketball Champions

University of Illinois Invitational

The Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks opened the 2005-06 regular season with an impressive 85-70 win over the 2005 Collegiate National Champions, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Gavin Gloy and David Durepos combined for 47 points. The Bucks new comer, Joe Chambers chipped in 12 points in his debut with the Bucks .

Bucks used balance attack to knock off U of I (11-12-05)

In their second game of the tournament the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks used balance scoring to knock off U of I, 88-66. Four Bucks scored in double figures; David Durepos, Gavin Cloy and Joe Chambers all scored 20 points. Eric Barber chipped in 17 points.

Bucks cruised pass the Suns (11-13-05)

The Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks overcame an early double digit deficit and cruised pass the Phoenix Suns. Gavin Cloy lead the way with 25 points. David and Joe scored 19 and 16 points respectively. Eric Barber added 12 points.

2005-06 Pre-Season

With the 5th and 9th pick in the 2005 Draft, the Bucks selected Joe Chambers and Zac Nieman. Joe is a up and coming big man who will add some size to the Bucks front court. Zac strong defensive play and energy helped UW-Whitewater win three consecutive National Championships.

Steve Wilson was named as the Head Coach of the USA National Team. Five Bucks players will be representing there respective Country in the Americas Zone Qualifier tournament. Eric Barber, Gavin Cloy, Melvin Juette and Jeremy lade will be representing the US. While David Durepos will be representing Canada. The Qualifier Tournament will be held December 1-4 in Colorado Spring, CO. The top two team will qualify to compete in the 2006 Gold Cup World Championship in Amsterdam.
