Welcome to the home of the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks 2002 National Wheelchair Basketball ChampionsBucks InvitationalBucks fall to Dallas 74-88 (2-24-06)The Wheelchair Bucks kicked off their Invitational tournament Friday night against the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks. Dallas jumped out early and led by 9 point lead after the end of the 1st quarter. After a sluggish 1st quarter, the Bucks out scored Dallas 34 to 21 in the 2nd quarter and lead by four points at halftime. The two team played evenly in the 3rd. The Bucks held on to a 2 point lead for most of the quarter. With 5:54 left to play in the game Dallas retook the lead 71-69. Dallas used a 13-0 run to seal their victory. The Bucks couldn't get things going offensively and were outscored 27 to 11 in the 4th quarter. David Durepos lead the Bucks with 18 points and 5 assist. Gavin Cloy tally a double double with 17 points and 14 rebound. Jeremy Lade and Joe Chambers also scored in double figures with 13 and 11 points. Raul Ortega and Jeff Glasbrenner scored 21 points for the Mavericks, while Paul Schulte scored 16 points and dished out 18 assists. The Bucks mount a come from behind victory. (2-25-06The Denver Rollin Nuggets jumped out to a quick start in the first and second quarter. Hitting a scorching 9 of 13 three points. The Wheelchair Bucks found themselves trailing 42-56 at halftime. The Bucks cranked up the defense in the 3rd quarter and held the Nuggets to ten points to cut the lead to two points. The Bucks tied the game at 68 early in the forth quarter, but the Nuggets quickly pushed the lead back up to 6 points. The Bucks tied the game at 78-78 with 5:24 left to play in the game. After trailing the entire game, Gavin's basket gave the Bucks their first lead 82-80 with 2:44 left to play in the game. The Bucks out scored the Nuggets 23-16 in the 4th and held on to an 87-82 victory. Joe Chambers lead the Bucks in scoring with 22 points, shooting 11- of- 17 from the field. Gavin Cloy and David Durepos both chipped in 21 points. Jeremy Lade added 15 points. Jennifer Ruddell lead the Nuggets with 28 points, shooting an impressive 12- of- 14 from the field including 4- of -4 from three point range. Lade match his Career High (42 points) 2-25-06Jeremy Lade matches his career high in the Wheelchair Bucks win over the Phoenix Banner Suns. Lade scored a season high 42 points, shooting 19-of- 23 from the field. Joe Chamber grabbed a season high 15 rebounds. Gavin missed a double double with 22 points and 9 rebounds. All the Bucks scored. Bucks held the Suns to six points in the 4th quarter and cruised to a 99-60 victory. Bucks scored season high 116 points. (2-26-06)The Bucks outscored the Canadian, 31-11, in the first quarter and rolled to an easy 116-66 victory over the Canadian. The Bucks over-powered the Canadians and pounded the ball inside to Joe Chambers and Gavin Cloy. Chambers scored a career high 28 points and grabbed 12 rebound. David Durepos scored 21 points, hitting 4-of - 5 from three points range. Gavin Cloy lead all scorers with 29 points. The Bucks shot 8 -of 11 from 3 point range. The Bucks improved to 13-3 for the season. Denver Rollin Nuggets Invitational TournamentBucks tops 100 points (1-21-06)In their first game at the Denver Nuggets Invitational Tournament the Wheelchair Bucks scored a season high 103 points in rout to 103-54 win over Canada. Jeremy Lade had a near triple double with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assist. David Durepos added 23 points, shooting 10-of -13 from the field. Gavin Cloy lead all scorers with 33 points, and grabbed a season high 17 rebounds. Brian Mclennon lead the Canadians with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Gavin Cloy scores a career high 41 points (1-21-06)In the 2nd game of the tournament Gavin Cloy scored a career high 41 points, shooting 20 -of- 28 from the field and grabbed 9 rebounds, but the Wheelchair Bucks fall 87-96 to the Denver Rolling Nuggets. After trailing the entire 3rd quarter by as much as 18 points, the Bucks cut the Nuggets lead to 5 points 88-83 with 2:55 left to play in the game. Jay Nelms, the 2005 # 1 draft pick, answered the Bucks run with a 3 point, increasing the Nuggets' lead to 8 points with 1:55 left to play. After Jay's 3 pointer, the Bucks never recovered. The Bucks went 1:22 with out a basket. David Durepos and Jeremy Lade both added 15 points for the Bucks. Jay Nelms lead the Nugget with 34 points, shooting 8 -of- 12 from 3 point range. As a team the Nuggets hit 11-of-17 from three point range. They also shot 12 more free throws than the Bucks. Bucks bounce back from the Nuggets lost (1-22-06). The Wheelchair Bucks bounced back after a disappointing lost to the Nuggets, and beat the Phoenix Suns 91-68. The Bucks out scored the Suns The Bucks improved to 10-2 for the season. Banner Sun InvitationalBucks fall to Dallas (12-17-05)In a much anticipated rematch of last season's title games the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks got off to a slow start and watched the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks raced to a 13 point half time lead. The Bucks never got it going offensively and couldn't stop Paul Schulte. Who shot an impressive 6 -10 from behind the arc and poured in a game high 36 points. David Durepos lead the Bucks with 24 points and 4 assist. Jeremy Lade contributed 15 points. Melvin Juette and Gavin Cloy each chipped in 10 points but the Mavericks cruised to an easy 90-72 victory. Bucks get it going against the Suns (12-17-05)After a disappointed showing against the Mavericks, the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks out scored the Suns 22-15 and erased the Suns 6 points half-time lead. The Bucks continued the defensive pressure in the 4th and held the Suns to 16 points. The Bucks scored 15 points off of 17 Suns turnovers. David Durepos lead all scorers with 29 points. Gavin scored 24 points and grabbed 6 rebound. Jeremy Lade chipped is 15 points and had a season high 9 assist. As the Bucks won 81-69 Bucks over power the Canadians (12-18-05)The Bucks out-scored the Canadians 19-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a commanding lead. In the 3rd, the Bucks pushed their lead to 32 points and never looked back. Gavin Cloy lead all scorers with 25 points and grabbed 12 board. David Durepos added 15 points. Melvin Juette and Ryan Hauser both added 10 points. The Bucks cruised to an 83-43 victory.
